Learn to make your own ‘espadrilles’

Making your own espadrilles would be fun, yes? Selecting your canvas upper from my stash or yours, and learning how to make the first pair of flats, then the sky’s the limit as to what you might create after… perhaps a pair gets worn as slippers, another for outdoors, and a third as a special made-by-you gift! Hmmm…

I would love to host this one-day workshop at The Sewing Studio once it is operational, hopefully by the fall.

Cost would likely be $75-$85 (includes all material/supplies and equipment). You could bring a bag lunch, or perhaps we would order in and make a day of it! I’m thinking it could be a fun winter project for a small group of us – from 3-6 participants.

I have sourced authentic jute/rubber soles from Spain, and I would order specific shoe sizes to suit. Material and soles for addition pairs would run in the $25 range.

Is there an interest in the Gagetown area?

I look forward to hearing from you – michele.swiderski@gmail.com or 705-868-0550 (phone or text).

Warmest regards,
